Election of members of the 2025 Board of Directors

And why shouldn't you?
Applications are now open

The General Meeting of the FRNIX association will take place on 10 June 2025.

With the AGM comes the vote to renew the available seats on the Board. Board of Directors. If you share our vision and our values, and would like to play an active part in the development of our association over the next 3 years, send in your application or spread the word!

How many seats are available?

This year, 3 seats are up for renewal.

Who can apply?

If you have professional experience in the telecoms/Internet/network interconnection sector, and if you're ready to get involved and give some of your time to the peering community in France, this is the opportunity for you!

You can apply whether or not your company is a member of FRNIX or connected to France-IX.

For this voluntary activity, you are expected to bring your knowledge of the sector, your ability to identify and collect the needs of the community, and your commitment to actively contribute to the development of the association. The term of office is 3 years.

The main tasks of the members of the Board of Directors are as follows:

  • Dedicate time to work on the issues for which you will be responsible (as Chairman/Treasurer/Secretary or any other role that may be assigned to you).

  • Attend monthly meetings (lasting 1.5 hours).

  • Attend face-to-face meetings (1 or 2 all-day meetings a year).

  • Represent the FRNIX association and act as its spokesperson.

  • Maintaining an active link with the FRNIX community, particularly in terms of gathering needs and expectations.

  • Participate in the governance of France IX Services SAS, in particular by joining the Strategic Committee set up in 2024, with 4 places reserved for Association directors.

  • Work to develop the association by integrating the needs of all its members, including operators, hosts, content providers, etc.

We want the diversity of our members to be represented on the Board of Directors. We are losing our only female member of the team, and we are keen to actively encourage applications from new female directors to ensure fair representation.

All members of the Board of Directors must sign a Code of Conduct to ensure neutrality in decision-making and avoid any conflict of interest.

How and when to apply?

Send a motivational message outlining the subjects you would like to get involved in. This message, of a maximum of 300 words, in French, must be sent before Wednesday 9 May 2025 at 12 noon via our contact form : https://frnix.org/contact/

Your application will be examined by the current Board of Directors, and you will receive feedback.

If you are approved, we will ask you to send us the information to be shared with voting members by 22 May:

  • A video presenting your application and the contribution you would like to make to the association. Maximum length 2 minutes, in French, mp4 format (Smartphone, Teams, other tool).

  • A photo

  • Link to your Linkedin profile or CV in PDF format

Voting is electronic, open 2 weeks before the AGM (on 10 June), until the day of the AGM. Your presence at the AGM is recommended but not imperative. The candidates with the highest number of votes will be elected and announced at the end of the AGM, then on the website and social networks.

Why join the FRNIX Board of Directors?

Board members are not remunerated (salary, bonuses or discounts). Only expenses related to their duties are reimbursed.

Very few technical issues are discussed at Board meetings: members contribute their innovative vision and ideas to improve the satisfaction of the interconnection community in France and ensure the long-term future of FRNIX.
