This edition is organised in collaboration with the local IXP Ouest.Network which will be represented by Antoine Nivard.
The aim of the Nantes-based organisation is to develop the exchange of Internet traffic between its members on an equal footing, favouring the local aspect within the Pays de la Loire region, neighbouring regions and other national exchange points.
They have been running the PEERING service since 2020. IXP and NAPs.
As a digital player, LIGHT is delighted to be sponsoring this event in the West of France with FRNIX and to be taking part in the interconnection.
Our subsidiary Anjou Fibre is part of this regional network in the Pays de la Loire: that's why we want to be part of the ecosystem, as close as possible to the players and manufacturers in the network and telecoms sectors.
ANJOU FIBRE
In February 2018, Anjou Fibre (a subsidiary of LUMIÈRE*, formerly TDF's Fibre BU) was awarded a 25-year public service delegation contract by the Syndicat Mixte Ouvert Anjou Numérique for the design, establishment and operation of a Public Initiative Optical Fibre Network in rural Maine-et-Loire.
Since the end of 2024, this network for general public and professional use has served 235,000 outlets spread over 142 municipalities in Anjou.
Anjou Numérique and Anjou Fibre built this ambitious project and rolled out fibre optics throughout the department in 6 years.
This digital development project will contribute to the economic development and overall attractiveness of Maine-et-Loire.
LIGHT
LUMIÈRE is an infrastructure operator that originated within TDF and is now independent.
We design, deploy and operate fibre networks in six départements: Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Loir-et-Cher, Indre-et-Loire, Maine et-Loire and Haute-Savoie. LUMIERE has 8 FttH and FttO networks, FTTH, FTTE, FTTO and FON offerings.
Our ambition is to put technology at the service of local development, with a responsible, sustainable approach that always focuses on the end user.
