Election of members of the 2026 Board of Directors
And why shouldn't you?
Nominations are invited every year, 2 months before the Annual General Meeting.
As every year, a new General Meeting of the FRNIX association is about to take place. With the AGM comes the vote to renew the available seats on the Board of Directors.
If you share our vision and our values, and would like to play an active part in the development of our association for the disabled, please contact us. Next 3 years, send in your application or spread the word to your ideal candidate!
How many seats are available?
This year, 3 seats are to be renewed or filled on the Board of Directors.
Who can apply?
Anyone with a professional experience in the telecoms/Internet/network interconnection sector, ready to get involved and give some of their time to the peering community in France.
Expected commitment
For this activity volunteer, You will be expected to bring your knowledge of the sector, your ability to identify and collect the needs of the community, and your commitment to contributing actively to the association's development. The term of office is 3 years (renewable).
Estimated time: 8 hours per month - 2 hours of Board meetings and 6 hours of representation, or discussions with the salaried team (in working hours), or work on files and projects.

Main tasks of the members of the Board of Directors
- Dedicate time to work on the issues for which you will be responsible (as Chairman/Treasurer/Secretary or any other role that may be assigned to you).
- Participate in monthly meetings(lasting 2 hours).
- Participate inface-to-face meetings(1 or 2 times a year, all day and at the AGM).
- Represent the FRNIX association and act as its spokesperson.
- Maintaining an active link with the FRNIX community, particularly in terms of gathering needs and expectations.
- Participate in the governance of France-IX, in particular by joining the Strategic Committee set up in 2024, with 4 places reserved for Association directors.
- Work to develop the association by integrating the needs of all its members (operators, hosts, content, equipment and service providers, etc.).
We want the diversity of our members is represented on the Board of Directors. All members of the Board of Directors must sign a Code of Conduct to ensure neutrality in decision-making and avoid any conflict of interest.
How and when to apply?
Motivational message - 40 days before the AGM (midday) Friday 18 April 2026
Send a motivational message setting out the subjects you would like to get involved in. This message must meet the following criteria:
- Maximum 300 words, written in French
- Sent via our contact form : frnix.org/contact
Your application will be examined by the current Board of Directors, and you will receive feedback.
Complete file - 20 days before the AGM Tuesday 5 May 2026
If you are approved, you must send us the information to be shared with voting members:
- Video presentation your application and the contributions you wish to make to the association - max. length 2 minutes, in French, mp4 format (Smartphone, or Computer, edited or not)
- A photo
- Link to your LinkedIn profile or CV in PDF format
Electronic voting - open 2 weeks before the AGM
Voting is electronic, open from 2 weeks before the AGM until the day of the AGM. Your presence at the AGM is recommended but not mandatory.
The candidates with the most votes will be elected and announced at the end of the AGM, then on the website and social networks. Good management of the association is not forgotten!

Board members are not remunerated (salary, bonuses or discounts). Only expenses related to their duties are reimbursed.

Very few technical issues are discussed by the Board: members contribute their innovative vision and their ideas for improving community satisfaction. Good management of the association is not forgotten.
